The Career Development Cell (CDC) of Gargi Memorial Institute of Technology (GMIT) organised 1 day Workshop on HR Analytics on 9th February, 2019for the industry HR people to seek experience on critical data and insights about workforce and implementation of people-data in analytical processes to solve business problems. The basic course content to be focused on is as follows:

- Decoding HR Analytics

- Understanding Data, data sources

- Leveraging statistical tools for data analysis

- Overview of data visualisation tools tableau & power BI

- Data modelling & predictive analytics using MS Excel

This workshop is jointly hosted by two eminent industrial and academic experts notably mentioned are Mr. Vishal Verma (Sr.manager HR, TEECL), expert in HR analytics in Kolkata, as a key instructor and Mr. Dipayan Chakraborty (Asst. prof.-Mathematics, GMIT), expert in data science from Italy, as a lead instructor. This course is designed to assess numbers, recruitment, training and development, employee performance, compensation and overall business management prerequisite for any company’s growth. There were hands on practical experience throughout the session.
